Crowded, more crowded, fully crowded – These are most probably the best descriptions of the most famous street of the city. This pedestrian zone with its nostalgic tram is the bustling centre of Istanbul.
Except in the morning before the shops open their doors, there is always a great crowd around. There is simply an organized and sympathetic chaos. Right in the middle of this, the tram moves up and down through the whole district of Beyoglu, and so everyone jumps up if they don’t want to walk anymore. Everyone, whoever wants to go to the movies or shopping, would prefer Beyoglu district.
