Approximately 100 km west of Ankara, at the southern foot of the Black Sea, on the historical Silk Road, is Beypazari.
This old town with its Ottoman houses among the vineyards, mosques from the 15th Century and an Ottoman caravanserai is a must-visit place. The marketplace in the city centre is about 200 years old, and as the houses in the area, is one of the best examples of traditional old Turkish architecture. The shops at the marketplace are mostly used as workshops of bronzesmiths, silversmiths and also coppersmiths.
